Sunday, June 9th, 2024; 2 to 3 PM
Newton Free Library
330 Homer St, Newton, MA
We're delighted to be returning to the Newton Free Library, home to many of our friends.** This being Newton, we can expect a highly erudite and educated audience - writers, rabbis, experts on early New Orleans cornet players, doctors, that sort of thing.

And what will all these movers and shakers be doing at 2 PM, Sunday, June 9th? Moving and shaking to the infectious groove of Boston's favorite jug band! Come down for an entertaining and edifying afternoon!

**Our friends live in Newton, that is, not the library per se. At least, we hope that they are not lurking at night, gollum-like, in the inky depths of the stacks. To wit, we trust they have someplace to go when the library closes. But we digress.
Sunday, June 30th: 6:30 PM
Alexander's Jazz Time Band!
1 Grafton Common, Grafton, MA, United States, 01519
Chris is playing rhythm guitar and singing lead w Alexander's Jazz Time Band in a concert in Grafton. It's a tuba instead of a jug and a cornet and trombone instead of kazoos, but they play with a lot of spirit nonetheless. A top-notch big band playing stock charts from the late 20s and early 30s will make a joyful noise.
Thursday, July 25th: 7 to 9 PM
The Back Room at the Burren, with 440!
The Burren, 247 Elm St, Somerville, MA
We're sharing the bill with the wonderful gypsy jazz quartet 440, led by our good friend Tomoko Iwamoto. Come down and have a Guiness and some Irish beef stew (made with Guiness), while we serenade you.

Chris plays piano too. Check out his moody piano/voice demo on Soundcloud!
A Capella Fans: See our guitar player in his incarnation as a Boston Jazz Voices baritone, appear on two episodes of the 4th season of the PBS TV program "Sing That Thing" (Premiere - we're at 10m15s and Episode 7 )!
